Week 1: a place to stand, Day 4: More than meets the eye, Activity 3: Salt and pepper

Day 4: More than meets the eye, Activity 3: Salt and pepper

On your blog tell us where you would build your hotel and what you would use to build it. For an extra five points, use Google Drawings to design one room in your hotel. You can also use a paper and pencil to draw your room, take a picture of the drawing, and post it on your blog.

I would like to build my hotel in Tonga because its always hot in the summer and even when it rains it is warm not like too cold. Also because i can visit my family.

I would build it out of glass because you can see everywhere and you can see the light, also you might not need to use the lights in the hotel because it is usually always sunny. But at night time you can on the lights and close the curtains.

  1. Hi Toe'umu,

It's Leslie here, reading your blog from my home in Canada as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. It's the middle of winter here so thinking of your hotel in Tonga warms me up!

Wouldn't it be super to build a hotel that would be filled with light, and naturally warmed by the sun?! And building it where you could also be amongst family would be very fun. Good ideas!

To earn full points for this activity you were asked to include a photo of a drawing or to use a google drawing program to design a possible room in your hotel. You haven't done that yet - if you want to add that to this posting the you can get full points.

If not, no worries. It's up to you as to how much you want to do of each activity.

In Canada we actually have a hotel made of ice each year, in the province of Quebec. People pay to stay in an room built with blocks of ice- isn't that wild? There's no limit to people's imaginations is there//

I hope you're enjoying using your imagination for these activities and I hope you're having a super summer.

I'll continue to read your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
