Week 2: Water, water, everywhere, Day 4: Spectacular, Spectacular, Activity 2: Its all in the name.

Day 4: Spectacular, Spectacular, Activity 2: Its all in the name.

On your blog, give us a list of three to five options for the name of this geothermal pool. Put a star (*) beside the name that you like the most.

Names:
Slime pool.
The Grinch's pool*
Stinky socks
Devil's bath

I like the name of The Grinch's pool because it is green and the Grinch is green.

Week 2: Water, Water, Everywhere, Day 4: Spectacular, Spectacular, Activity 1: Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Day 4: Spectacular, Spectacular, Activity 1: Planes, Trains and Automobiles

On your blog tell us which of the three options you would take to explore Milford Sound. Be sure to tell us why you have chosen this option.

Options:

Boat curise

Helicopter.

Walk there.

I would rather go on a boar curise because it would be fun to go on a boat. And have some fresh air. Also you ca get a room to sleep in. Like if your in a helicopter you cant like have your own room because it is pretty small, also i wouldnt go in a helicopter because it is really loud. I didn't like the sound of walking because i might slip or fall on the way. Also because i could get tired.

Ingrediants:
1 (8 ounce) Box elbow macaroni

1/4 cup of butter

1/2 teaspoon of salt

ground black pepper to taste

2 cups of milk

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Week 2: Water, Water, Everywhere, Day 3: First You ‘Sea’ Me, Now You Don’t… Activity 1: Night owls

Day 3: First You ‘Sea’ Me, Now You Don’t… Activity 1: Night owls

On your blog, tell us whether you are a night owl or an early riser. Then, tell us about the rest of your family. Are they the same as you? .

Am i a night owl or early riser?

Well i depends, In the school holidays i am usually a night owl because i don´t have to wake up early to go school. But when it is school days or Sunday during the terms i am an Early riser so i wake up at around 7:00 am or before that. So i can get ready for school, also so i am not late.

For the rest of my siblings they sometimes do the same thing. But the 3 little ones always sleep early because they just get tired. My mum and dad they sleep early because my dad starts works at 6:00 am so he has to wake up at 5:00 am so he can get ready.

On your blog, list three similarities and three differences between the two plants that you chose. To earn five extra bonus points, post a picture of both plants on your blog..

The plants i choose were Rafflesia Arnoldii, and Venus Flytrap.

Differences:
They both have different colours
They don´t have the same shape.
The Rafflesia has white spots but Venus Flytrap
dose not.

Similarities:
They are both plants.
They both need soil.
They both have an open area.

Day 2: Fabulous, Flora, Activity 2: Mighty Mangroves

On your blog, tell us about this person. Who are they? Why are they, in your opinion, so strong and tough?

The person that i think is strong and tough is my dad:

The reasons are...

1. He goes to work 5 or 6 days a week for us so we can have a good education.

2. He also goes to the gym almost everyday.

3. Hes dose body building, and sometimes he has to be tough to not eat sugary food.

Week 1: a place to stand, Day 5: Blink and you´ll miss it, Activity 3: Going,going....gone

Day 5: Blink and you´ll miss it, Activity 3: Going,going....gone

On your blog, post a description of life in New Zealand in 2018. Please remember that the people who read your post will have never been to New Zealand or even seen a picture so it is your job to ‘paint a picture’ of New Zealand using your words. You can also post pictures, if you wish. Be sure to fully attribute the pictures.

New Zealand is the best country in the world (In my opinion). It has beautiful green trees, Native birds like (eg. Albatross).
There is water parks, Parks for entertainment, and also there is RAINBOWS END. You can take photos for your memories,
when you return to your country. You can also breathe the fresh nice air.

Also you can go and visit the city, Have you heard of the sky tower... It is the tallest building standing we also have a countdown on the sky tower for new years eve. You should see the fireworks there. Its Beautiful. Or if you cant make it in time you can watch it on Tv.

Day 5: Blink and you´ll miss it, Activity 2: Living the Edge

On your blog, write a letter to your best friend or a family member telling them about your trip to the tundra. To earn full points your letter must have a greeting (eg. Dear…) followed by 5 – 6 sentences of information about what your experience.

Dear: Mum

Hi mum so i wanted to tell you about my trip to Tundra, It was so fun. So when i went on the trip with my class, I looked all around and i couldn´t see any trees. So i asked my teacher ¨ Mr why is there no trees here¨? ¨The trees cant grow here because the harsh conditions make it hard for the plants to grow. Also for the animals to survive¨ He answered.

10 minuets after that someone in my class asked a question which was.... ¨ Is there only one Tundra¨? Mr answered No actually there is two kinds of tundra. The first one is called Alpine tundra, Is near the high mountains where the tree line is. The second one is called Arctic Tundra, which is near the north in the northern hemisphere along the Arctic circle.

Day 5: Blink and you´ll miss it, Activity 1: Towering Timbers

On your blog tell us whether you think logging should be allowed in New Zealand. Be sure to provide at least two reasons to support your argument.

I think it should still be allowed  only if:

1. The trees they log down should be replaced with a new tree

2. They should have a certain like place that they grow trees. Then after it grows you can cut it down and replace with a new tree, and repeat  the same thing again and again.

That was my two reasons on why i think they should allow it (if they do these stuff).
What was your favourite reason?

On your blog tell us where you would build your hotel and what you would use to build it. For an extra five points, use Google Drawings to design one room in your hotel. You can also use a paper and pencil to draw your room, take a picture of the drawing, and post it on your blog.

I would like to build my hotel in Tonga because its always hot in the summer and even when it rains it is warm not like too cold. Also because i can visit my family.

I would build it out of glass because you can see everywhere and you can see the light, also you might not need to use the lights in the hotel because it is usually always sunny. But at night time you can on the lights and close the curtains.
