Week 3,day 4, Activity 1: Hairy Maclary

On your blog, use the following sentence starter from the original book to finish the story.

“Out of the gate and off for a walk went Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy

Today he decided to go for a long long long walk! So he went, and on the way he saw a cat. He hated cats so he started to chase her (the cat). When he was chasing her the cat was running away to more and more cats. So when he saw all of the cats he was barking at them. Then the cats ran away. So when they ran away he said "that's right scardy cats". After he said that he just started to walk again. Then Hairy's owner came out of the shops and he didn't see hairy so he.................

    You are such an active blogger and I love reading your posts. This one particularly I really enjoyed reading your story that you created including some fabulous rhymes. - Well done.

    These books are very famous to NZ kids as the author is from NZ, often you will find these books in all libraries and they really help with reading and rhyming.

    I like this description I found on each of the characters in the story

    "Schnitzel von Krumm
    with a very low tum,
    Bitzer Maloney
    all skinny and bony,
    Muffin McClay
    like a bundle of hay,
    Bottomley Potts
    covered in spots,
    Hercules Morse
    as big as a horse

    and Hairy Maclary
