Week 2, day 2, Bonus Activity: Crossing the Tasman

Imagine that you were a member of the flight crew. Write a poem that describes how you would have felt when you landed safely in Christchurch after such a long trip.


Soaring through the sky feeling excited
Across the Tasman Sea i felt nervous
Failing radio, icy windscreen but luckily 
Ends safely with everyone safe and happy

    Hi Toe'umu.

    I really enjoyed reading your acrostic poem you wrote. Great use of the words and using SAFE as the main word you build the task around. This is exactly how they would of felt im sure. And very lucky to be alive. Such a scary time for all the soldiers that went to war to fight for our country.

    I like how you added across the Tasman sea. This shows me you really thought about where they were flying from and going to NZ from that direction.

    I really enjoy your blogging and reading the work you have done. Keep it up.
